The Reality of Exam Day

The OPRA exam is an extreme mental endurance test. Sitting through two 3-hour papers back-to-back in a secured testing facility generates immense fatigue. Knowing exactly what to expect is half the battle. Check the official exam dates well in advance.

Your Exam Day Checklist

  • Valid primary photo ID (passport preferred). Both papers on the ID must be legible.
  • A secondary ID (credit card with name, national ID, or driver's license).
  • ✅ Confirmation of your Pearson VUE booking (email print or screenshot).
  • ✅ High-calorie snacks and water for the break between papers.
  • ✅ Comfortable, layered clothing. Testing center temperatures vary.

Center Security Protocols

Expect airport-style security. All personal belongings (phones, watches, physical calculators, bags) must be secured outside the testing room. You will be provided with an erasable whiteboard booklet and marker for calculations.

⚠️

Warning

Pearson VUE requires two forms of valid ID. Digital copies, expired IDs, or photocopies will result in immediate denial of entry and forfeiture of your ~$2,230 AUD registration fee. Do not cut corners on this.
